Testing to see if I can initiate a Conversation here. Looking good so far. I suppose this is where I write what it's about? or where I pose a question or offer something for comment? How should we theorize the political economy of tag selection?

Tags and selection ... well, you have to have a certain (high) reputation to be able to add new tags to the economy of tags. I am hoping people who have that high of a reputation (such as you Jay!) will be judicious about the production of tags.

so what is the etiquette here? I respond at the front or the back of what I see above?

Let's you categorize conversations that are posted. Only those with certain reputation can create new tags and assign tags to conversations (or symposia, etc.). The idea is that if we tag conversations, media, etc ,and then search for those tags, you get back relevant data that has been called relevant by others (and not just looking for keywords).
